Salt Damp and Water Damage

Salt damp in commonly found in older homes without a damp coarse. Moisture works its way up through the stone and brick joints. Rising damp can cause the plaster to crack or become drummy and form a white salt deposit leaving the paint to bubble.

This can also contribute to many health related problems. Water damage can also come from leaking roofs or plumbing systems.

Firstly we remove all affected plaster and find the source of the problem. We then repair the area affected, allow time for the area to completely dry, and finalise the repair by replastering.
